Powder Creek Ranch is over 360 acres nestled into a valley in the heart of the Oregon Coast Range. Surrounded by forest on three sides and 1/2 mile of Nestucca River frontage. There is plenty of outdoor recreation and fun for everyone! Wildlife abounds at the Ranch. We’ve been feeding the deer in the backyard for over 40 years, have a resident herd of elk and wild geese and ducks on the ponds.
Tillamook County has something for everyone. The Nestucca River is a class “A” fishing river boasting Salmon, Steelhead and Trout. Check out the weekly report of what’s biting and where; http://www.dfw.state.or.us/RR/index.asp
If you’re looking for hiking trails, you’re free to roam the Ranch or enjoy a nearby waterfall trail through the forest. Take a drive to nearby Pacific City and Cape Kiwanda where you can play on the beach. From there, take the Three Capes scenic drive and meander along bays, estuaries and quaint villages along the Pacific Ocean. There are trails to a working lighthouse, the “Octopus Tree”, agate beaches and through the forest to the tip of Cape Lookout.
Head to Tillamook to visit the Tillamook Cheese Factory or Blue Heron Cheese Factory for cheese sampling. The Tillamook Air Museum is housed in a World War II blimp base that is the largest wooden building in the world and is truly “awesome”.
